People power helps raise $25,000 at charity gala

MORE than 180 people helped to raise more than $25,000 for the Power In You Project (PIYP) at its annual Charity Gala.

The event, held at Provenance Wines in Fyansford, was hosted by Nicky Buckley and featured special guest speaker and former Melbourne Demons player David Schwarz.

The football personality shared his compelling journey of overcoming gambling addiction, and shed a light on some tips and tricks to help save others from going down the same path.

 

Former Melbourne Demons player David Schwarz spoke about his own addiction to gambling.

 

All funds raised from the event will go towards the men’s support and addiction groups run by the Power In You Project.

The event at Provenance Wines raised over $25,000 for Power In You Project.

 

“We are thrilled that our gala has now become a much-anticipated annual event dedicated to raising funds to support those fighting addiction, mental health, forensic disability and helping to create connections, community and instill hope.”
