Relief as missing Portarlington man found safe

Missing Portarlington man Alan has been found safe and well, police have confirmed.
The 82-year-old was located on Tuesday morning after being spotted by air support in a paddock about 1km from where he was last seen on Batman Road, Portarlington.
His discovery followed an extensive search involving ground crews and the Police Air Wing, which continued late into Monday night and through the early hours of Tuesday.
Police said Alan, who is deaf and lives with dementia, is safe and will be assessed by paramedics.
