The Renegades want to encourage more families than ever to come and cheer on the players.

As the country gears up for the biggest summer of cricket yet, the Melbourne Renegades are dialling up the family friendly atmosphere of the Big Bash League with an all-new family entertainment zone, the Gades Arcade.

Set to be revealed ahead of the Renegades’ epic rivalry clash against Sydney Thunder at Marvel Stadium on Sunday, December 18, the dedicated zone will feature arcade games, a barber shop plus an area for parents to relax.

Taking over the seating bowl of the Renegades’ home ground, the Gades Arcade is accessible to families for free with a general admission ticket.

The new area has been artfully designed to complement the exciting format of cricket that plays out in the Big Bash League, and aims to encourage more families than ever to come and cheer on the players.

Captained by left-handed batsman Nic Maddinson, the Melbourne Renegades are ready for an action-packed season with some exciting new faces recently joining the squad including Peter Handscomb and Martin Guptill.

Kane Richardson will again suit up for the Renegades this season.

The Gades Arcade can be enjoyed at the Melbourne Renegades’ five home games at Marvel Stadium, with highlights including the opening event “Neon Night” on Sunday, December 18, the New Year’s Day game featuring Freestyle Motocross and a DJ on January 1, 2023, and the Melbourne Derby featuring Renegades v Stars on January 14, 2023.
