Serving a pint of ping pong
MANY joined the quest to become Blackman’s second Australian/International Ping Pong champion, but only one came out on top on Sunday’s event at Blackman’s Brewery Geelong.
Pints and fun times fueled 12 fine athletes who took on the challenge to take home the bragging rights as the brewery kickstarted Good Beer Week with a bang.
“Having the ping pong tournament was a great way of reconnecting with the locals and giving them a fun and inclusive platform to come together, get dressed up and have some fun ,” operations manager at Blackmans Brewery Waz Coleman said.
“A sport like ping pong is easy, fun and everyone can easily get involved and have a crack,” he said.
There were costumes aplenty at Sunday’s event with tennis whites, headbands and plenty of colour on show.
DJs accompanied the ping pong enthusiasts with dance moves being exhibited in between ripping rallies.
Prizes were awarded during the day for best dressed, whilst the the winner of the event took home plenty of beer and the illustrious can trophy.
“We can’t wait to run the event next year and continue to reconnect and provide a fun atmosphere for people to be together,” Coleman said.
“We encourage everyone to get down and enjoy the rest of Good Beer Week at the brewery.”
