GEELONG’S ultimate one-day wine festival Toast to the Coast will be back in town this month, where wine connoisseurs can enjoy the very best cool-climate wines from the Moorabool Valley, Surf Coast and Bellarine Peninsula.

After being postponed from February 6 to the new date of May 15, the event will take place at The Pier in Geelong, showcasing the region’s most delicate drops in what will be an entertaining and enjoyable affair.

Now in its 19th year, Toast to the Coast is one of the most anticipated events on the local calendar, with ticket-holders spending their day sampling wines, gin and beer from across all three regions.
The event is accompanied by live music and stunning views of the Geelong waterfront.

Event organisers Wine Geelong are thrilled to have the event at The Pier for the second year running and to continue to showcase the beautiful drops from across our region in a controlled and enjoyable atmosphere.

“We absolutely can’t wait for the Toast to the Coast event on the 15th of May, and look forward to showcasing our amazing producers from across the region in a controlled and central location that is accessible by ferry, car and by foot,” Wine Geelong executive officer and events organiser Jo Wealands said.

“After what has been a tumultuous couple of years with the pandemic, we had to move the event away from our amazing local wineries to a central controlled environment in Geelong.

The Pier has been exceptional in running the event in the past and it provides the most perfect location for people to come together at a location that has some of the best views in Geelong.”

Ticketholders will be treated to enjoy a sensational lineup from at least 19 Geelong wineries, two gin distilleries and one brewery complemented by a smorgasbord of food on offer.

Live music will complement the three-hour morning and afternoon sessions with Georga Byrne and Luke B serenading the crowd during the morning session and Nina Ferro and Issac Moran in the afternoon.

Tickets to both the 11am-2pm morning session and 3-6pm afternoon session include a Plumm glass that can be taken home to enjoy any of the wines purchased on the day.

Wine will also be available by the glass or bottle with special offers on show just in time to stock up your cupboard for the colder months.

Final release tickets are soon to sell out.

If you already have a ticket from the postponed February date, no further action is required as your tickets will still be valid for the new date.

If you’re wanting to continue your Toast to the Coast experience into the evening, Sailors Rest will host the Sunday Session After Party.

The venue will play host to chilled DJ vibes/live music and complimentary finger food for Sunday Toast patrons (simply show your Toast to the Coast ticket on entry).
