ST JOSEPH’S College Geelong has solidified its reputation as a local force of Movember fundraising by achieving a rare fundraising feat.
Led by teacher Tom Cashin and influencer and former student Will Taylor, the Newtown all boys school ticked over the $100,000 mark of fundraising for Movember.
More than 180 members of the school community sparked countless conversations about men’s mental health, grew a moustache and moved for a cause last month.
St Joseph’s was able to raise $9,000 in November to go towards their amazing fundraising efforts over the past seven years.
Mr Cashin said he was incredibly proud to see the school tick over the $100,000 mark since they began supporting Movember.
“It was an amazing campaign and it’s phenomenal to hit that huge milestone.
“Considering we are an all-boys school, it’s important we all look out for each other and inspire conversations around mental health.
“The stigma of men being open and vulnerable is a changing landscape which is a fantastic thing to see.
“The more we can communicate with how we are feeling without putting up those shields, the more we can grow.”
Mr Cashin said all eyes turned to going bigger and better with fundraising in 2026.
