Geelong’s Tempo Kitchen and Bar steals the spotlight

TEMPO Kitchen and Bar has been lauded for its delightful dining and crowned Regional Hotel Restaurant of the Year.

The Novotel Geelong’s culinary ace was awarded top honours at the Victorian Accomodation Awards for Excellence last week.

The night of nights for Victorian accommodation providers drew more than 800 hoteliers, industry suppliers and tourism sector stakeholders.

More than 300 venue and individual nominations were considered across the awards, which celebrated venue and service excellence across Victoria’s regulated commercial accommodation sector.

Tempo Kitchen and Bar continues to capture the hearts and tastebuds of locals and visitors alike by providing delicious food, decadent cocktails and dazzling live entertainment at the Geelong Waterfront.

Novotel Geelong general manager Scott Bear said the team was over the moon with the recent honour.

“We are very excited here at the hotel that we were able to pull this off last week, the team is stoked and very proud.

“Tempo has really been built for the community of Geelong… we wanted to build something that drove people to the waterfront and stepped up and elevated the level of dining in the region.

“This winter it’s just been all guns blazing with activations like gnocchi making nights, our dome dining out on the waterfront, our cocktail masterclasses and our happy hours.

“We are pretty proud to be delivering what we are and excited about what we have created.”

On the Surf Coast, RACV Torquay Resort was also awarded top honours, triumphing in the Best Meetings and Events Space of the Year – Regional category.
