Terrifying dating tales for comedy fans
AN AWARD-nominated comedy show is on its way to the Geelong Comedy Festival and promises to detail some terrifying tales of dating life.
Following sold-out runs at Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival, Matt Bell’s ‘Dead to Me: A Comedy Ghost Tour’ will tap into the minefield of missed connections, inexplicable disappearances and regrettable second chances in the modern dating scene.
Bell will guide attendees through a nightmarish yet hilarious comedy ghost tour, reliving the second-most terrifying night of his life – the night he accidentally dated his own stalker.
Guests will experience the spine-chilling moments of his unforgettable evening in the locations where the incidents went down.
From awkward encounters to spooky revelations, the show is sure to have something for everyone.
Bell said the event promised to be an innovative and fun experience.
“The show leads an audience on a walking tour of central Geelong as we retrace the steps of when I realised I was accidentally dating my own stalker … and then it continued to get worse,” he said.
“It’s all about the current dating scene and the terrifying, weird and hilarious dates that singles find themselves on.
“From the guy who ate entire chicken wings (bones and all) in front of me on a date, to the time that someone told me mid-date that they still shared a bed with their ex.”
Shows will be on November 1 and November 2, starting at Beav’s Bar in Geelong.
Tickets are $25 and the shows begin at 7.30pm.
