Soulful Australian siblings The Teskey Brothers are set to light up Australian outdoor venues and wineries this summer on their first A Day on the Green headline tour.

The five-time ARIA winners will be joined by an array of hand-picked international and Australian special guests at their exclusive run of outdoor shows, including in Geelong in January in their only Victorian show.

Support acts include US indie rockers Band of Horses, Americana, folk and roots artist Sierra Ferrell, the Australian debut of Irish singer-songwriter CMAT, and Australian singer and multi-instrumentalist Charlie Needs Braces.

Roundhouse Entertainment revealed the highly anticipated return of The Teskey Brothers to Australia in 2025 earlier this week.

The A Day on the Green tour will be a homecoming for one of Australia’s most in-demand groups after they spent most of this year playing headline shows across the US, UK and Europe, as well as festivals including Bonnaroo and the Wilderness Festival.

“After many months on tour overseas we are excited to be bringing the show home for this very special A Day On The Green run in January,” Josh Teskey said.

“To make it a full day’s affair, it’s a huge thrill to be bringing together some of our favourite acts from around the world.

“Honoured to be joined by the epic Band of Horses, Nashville legend Sierra Ferrell, always excited to see CMAT and our local
favourite Charlie Needs Braces.

“Come join us for what will be a beautiful Day on the Green.”

Band of Horses will play their first Australian shows since 2016.

With hits such as “The Funeral”, “Laredo” and “No One’s Gonna Love You”, and three ARIA Top 30 albums, the band has garnered a loyal following in Australia since first touring here in 2006.

Originally from Seattle, their early records made them become one of the most prominent indie rock bands of the era, with their 2010 album Infinite Arms nominated for a Grammy.

Ferrell’s genre-blending style has captivated audiences worldwide and made her one of the most in-demand musicians right now with her distinctive enchanting voice, vintage sound and eclectic mix of country, folk, Americana and blues.

Her last tour in 2022 saw her sell out shows across the country. Now playing in the US with country superstar Zach Bryan, their duet “Holy Roller” has amassed 46 million streams on Spotify alone.

CMAT’s (Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson) unique blend of indie-pop and country has propelled her to prominence since her 2022 debut, If My Wife New I’d Be Dead, which won the Choice Music Award for Irish Album of the Year.

Her powerful performances and clever songwriting have made her a distinctive voice in contemporary music, with her latest album Crazymad, For Me nominated for a Brit Award and the Ivor Novello Award for Best Album.

Charlie Needs Braces is a solo project for Melbourne-based musician Charlie Woods, featuring live looping and original compositions.

A Guringai woman, Charlie’s uplifting and energetic music weaves together stories, language and layered harmonies.

The Teskey Brothers and supports will play at Mt Duneed Estate, Waurn Ponds on January 11, 2025.

Tickets go on sale on Thursday, June 27 at 12 noon via Ticketmaster, with AAMI members’ presale and A Day on the Green members’ presale beginning on Monday, June 24 at 10am.
