THE Pantry at Bellevue is bringing the vibes just in time for summer with the addition of a new restaurant and wine bar.
Introducing the two new offerings to the Pakington Street business has been a passion project for a group of friends, all getting together and doing what they enjoy.

Operations manager Gab Watts said the goal for the new venture is to bring some life back into the Bellevue venue.
“It’s such a beautiful venue and it has just been so underutilised for so long,” Ms Watts said.
“That’s our main goal is just to have people here and enjoy it, showcasing the space and our food and good drinks.”
Chef Luke Cunning leads the kitchen team, plating up dishes that pair perfectly with a glass of wine or suit a classic dining experience.
Food is one of the biggest passions in the new side of the business, ensuring that everything is fresh, seasonal and where possible, made in house.

The drinks menu has a similar aim, focused on products that are done well.
Ms Watts said they have a love for the industry and what they do, with hopes that people will feel like Bellevue is their “third place”.
“The theory [about the third place] is that people should have their work, their home and their third place, and that’s what it feels like for us, we’re here to work, but it’s that third place for us.,” she said. “It’s where we hang out with all of our friends and family and giving that to other people as well, making it a destination, somewhere that’s a normal part of people’s routine.”

While the current expansion is still in the lift-off stage, it hasn’t stopped the team from thinking about what comes next, with plans for live music on the agenda.
