Tickets onsale for 2025 River’s Gift Gala

TICKETS for this year’s River’s Gift Gala ball are on sale, with event organisers encouraging those interested in going to secure their spots early.

The 2025 event will take a slightly different form and will be held in a cocktail format while still including its famous top-secret theme – not revealed until the night of the gala.

River’s Gift co-founder Amy Hamilton said the new style would replace the previous sit-down gala as a way to change things up.

“We’ve been doing our sit-down galas for years now and just thought it would be nice to do something a little bit different,” she said.

“We can also get more people in if we have a cocktail event; often we sell out, so it’s really nice that we can offer it at a slightly lower price and get more people there, so more people can really learn about what we do at River’s Gift and where the money is going.”

The gala will include plenty of entertainment, including performances and prizes, all while making a difference in the fight against SIDS.

Ms Hamilton said people heading along to the gala should expect the unexpected.

“Although you’re there for a cause and we always try and really bring that home to people of why they’re there, it’s also a really fun event,” she said.

“It’s the perfect opportunity for people to get their team together or get their family and friends and really just have a really good night out.”

Funds raised from the event will go towards research, trying to find a genetic link, and determining which infants are at risk of SIDS.

“We’re the first people to create a genetic DNA biobank for SIDS in the southern hemisphere, it’s the first one of its kind,” Ms Hamilton said.

“We’re well into recruiting families for that and we’re raising money for that as well as education.”

Tickets are $195 and include canapes and a grazing table, a four-hour drinks package including spirits, and live entertainment.

The 2025 River’s Gift Gala will be held at 1915 at Federal Mills on June 25.
