Woman dies following Grovedale crash

A 92-year-old woman has died following a crash in Grovedale on Monday.

Emergency services were called to Heyers Road at about 12.30pm after reports a car had lost control and crashed into a car park fence.

Police say the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was taken to hospital but later died from her injuries.

No one else was injured in the crash.

It brings the road toll for 2026 to six.

Geelong Highway Patrol officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
