Workspace signs 14-year lease at 60 Moorabool Street, Geelong
LEADING Australian co-working provider Workspace365 has committed to a 1,356sqm lease at 60 Moorabool Street jointly owned by GMHBA and Quintessential Equity in Geelong’s Central Business District.
The 14-year lease will see Workspace365 take up the entire fourth floor of the nine-level office tower, occupying the premium A-grade office space from July 2022.
Following the deal, 60 Moorabool Street is 65 per cent leased with Workspace365 joining GMHBA, Morris Finance and Employer Mutual Limited as tenants.
With expertise operating in CBD, fringe, suburban and regional locations, Workspace365 has also taken up leases in Footscray and Torquay and is continuing to build their presence in Victoria’s western corridor, with the addition of 60 Moorabool Street, Geelong.
This Geelong CBD offering will support Workspace365’s current premium flexible offices in Torquay and provide Geelong and Surf Coast with the additional high quality flexible office space and meeting room facilities needed as Geelong moves towards a premium office hub.
Michael Benson, founder and CEO of Workspace365, said “Post-COVID, companies and individuals are re-assessing their office needs and we are now seeing a resurgence for quality, flexible workspaces, where businesses can take advantage of cost-effective solutions that allow companies to scale up or down as required”.
“Workspace365 has the ability to support individual desk requirements, private offices and enterprise suites supported by an extensive board room and meeting room offering, we have more meeting rooms per sqm than most other providers in this sector.
“Complementing 60 Moorabool Street’s existing premium fit out, Workspace365’s Geelong office will include five-star end-of-trip facilities, multiple meeting and board rooms, breakout and collaboration spaces, a premium kitchen, and private offices from one to 20 people.”
Russell Bullen, CEO of Quintessential Equity, said 60 Moorabool Street was located in the heart of Geelong’s CBD and retail precinct and boasted beautiful views over Corio Bay.
“Designed by Cox Architecture, the state-of-the-art building provides businesses with a great working environment to attract and retain the best talent,” he said.
Pat Burke, principal MP Burke Commercial said: “In our recent experience several companies are seeking smaller tenancies to get a foothold in the market, along with larger corporates seeking to test the market by establishing a flexible satellite office, without committing to a long-term lease with significant, upfront establishment costs.”
