Yarra Street Window Gallery calls for exhibition submissions

A POPULAR gallery exhibition that breaks down barriers is calling on Geelong-based artists and designers to submit their expressions of interest.
Yarra Street Window Gallery, a 24-hour gallery along the outside of Market Square between Malop and Little Malop streets, attracts viewers who might not typically visit traditional galleries because of its public location.
It prese features works from Peter Leigh, Jacinta Kay, Dr Matt Dingle, Dr Matthias Weiss, Ross and Lyn George, Wathaurong Glass & Arts, Grant Finck, Dell Nolan, FOOT, Shelley Jardine, Christopher Delia, Sharyn Masson, Cecilia Cabalquinto and Shelley Hannigan across 12 display windows.
Their artworks and collections are made of a range of materials including reclaimed timber, wool, corrugated sheet, ceramics, copper wire and glass.
Almost all forms of visual arts and design are welcome, including First Nations art, painting, sculpture, film, animation, photography, fashion, lighting design, furniture design and ceramics.
It is free to exhibit, and selected artists will be paid a stipend of $500 to showcase their work.
