Arches Port Campbell
A unique opportunity in one of the Great Ocean Road’s most iconic destinations now presents itself with the launch of Arches Port Campbell, a new coastal community with a specific focus on sustainability.
The land, which was identified for subdivision into 54 lots by Corangamite Shire more than five years ago, will be brought to market by Ample.
With the Development Plan approved in 2019, Ample has been engaged by the owners to deliver this project on their behalf in accordance with the approved plan.
Ample acknowledge Port Campbell is a beautiful coastal village and understand the huge responsibility that comes with extending the township of such a special place.
“We have engaged with, and will continue to work closely with locals to ensure we do everything we can to respect and protect the character of their town,” Ample said.
Arches Port Campbell is being marketed as a community of coastal character and sustainable thinking.
The vision for Arches Port Campbell is underpinned by three key objectives: sustainability, built form, and landscaping.
There is a growing movement for new communities to consider their environmental footprint. Projects such as The Cape in Cape Paterson and SALT Torquay have led the way in this movement with a specific focus on built form.
Arches Port Campbell is looking to expand that focus to both inside and outside the dwelling.
“We want to encourage a holistic approach to sustainability,” Ample said.
“Simple concepts such as harvesting natural resources through the installing of roof top solar and water tanks, selecting smarter fittings and appliances to reduce the use of resources, increasing vegetation cover, reducing drainage run-off, and use of recycled materials are key factors in the delivery of this new community.
“These are all sustainability measures that owners can implement to reduce their environmental footprint but are not recognised under the current NatHER’s star ratings system and therefore are often overlooked.”
To do this, Arches Port Campbell has created its own sustainability scorecard that weights a range of sustainability options both inside and outside the dwelling which each purchaser can tailor to their personal preference.
“It’s a unique way of looking at sustainability, the scorecard educates owners about a range of sustainability options available to them and empowers them to make choices that are right for them and their budget,” Ample said.
Arches Port Campbell will first be released exclusively to local residents of the Corangamite Shire before hitting the open market in the second quarter of 2021.
