Buxton expands into Bellarine region

This modernised '50s beach home at 14 Beales Street is situated on a huge 859sqm lot just a short stroll to the beach, shops, eateries and The Esplanade.

Despite Melbourne’s slow post-COVID recovery, leading real estate agency Buxton continues to display remarkable growth, having just announced the expansion into the Bellarine Peninsula with the launch of a new office in Drysdale.

The new office will be the sixth in the Greater Geelong area, with the group expanding its footprint into yet another coastal hotspot that has experienced a rise in demand from city dwellers looking for a sea or tree-change.

Boasting a depth of experience and an abundance of energy, the expansion will be led by Buxton Geelong Group director Ben Riddle, with the team comprising locally-based agents who offer a thorough knowledge of the region, complemented by a strong network.

“The expansion for Buxton Geelong Group has been a natural one – the success of the Leopold office, which launched two years ago, has since seen the Bellarine become a sought-after collective of suburbs,” Ben said.

“The increased presence in the region means we will be able to offer our customer base an even better service, with cutting-edge technology, local know-how and much more.”

Ben said the Geelong and coastal market had reached record highs in the last 12 months, as Geelong continued to undergo a transformation into a burgeoning city.

“We are seeing Melburnians continue to flock to Geelong for its mix of easy lifestyle, space, world-class beaches, hospitality hotspots and some of the best schooling across Victoria.

“The shift has seen housing pricing continue its double-digit growth trajectory, making Geelong and the Bellarine a destination now not only for homebuyers but holiday-makers, tourists and investors.”

Having originally launched into the region with the Newtown office in 2007, the Buxton Geelong Group has continued its impressive expansion over the past 14 years, now covering most suburbs across the region, providing unparalleled sales and property management expertise.

Buxton CEO Nathan Jones said the Bellarine was an obvious expansion target for their team given the shifting trends of their client base.

“Our central position in Drysdale is the beginning of the next stage of our Geelong/Bellarine strategic plan which will further develop and unfold over the next six months,” he said.

“Ben is a tremendous leader who has a long track record of attracting the best agents and those who share our vision to be the most recognisable and successful culture-first real estate group in Australia.

“We are so proud of what we know we’ll be able to achieve for our clients in the Bellarine and look forward to sharing more news in the coming months.”
