COLLIERS has facilitated another win for industry in Geelong’s FORTEK precinct.

Providing a major boost for Geelong’s industrial sector, local tech success story Cubepilot Global has secured an additional 4,000sqm of warehouse space at the new FORTEK precinct in Norlane, marking a significant step in its rapid expansion.

The deal, brokered by Colliers Geelong, will see Cubepilot Global double its footprint at the FORTEK precinct, developed by Pelligra, following its initial 4,000sqm lease earlier this year. Chris Nanni, senior sales and leasing executive at Colliers Geelong, said the site’s scale, flexibility and historical significance make it a compelling choice for forward-thinking businesses.

“We’re proud to have facilitated this deal with Pelligra, which not only supports Cubepilot’s growth but also contributes to the revitalisation of one of Geelong’s most iconic industrial landmarks,” Mr Nanni said.

“The precinct is rapidly taking shape, with a strong line-up of tenants already secured, including Metalcorp, MotorOne Auto Body, RSEA, Sydney Tools, Amazon and genU. With large format retail opportunities now being finalised and the new intersection set to further enhance accessibility, momentum is building. Enquiry levels have surged over the past 12 months, positioning the precinct as a premier destination for industrial and retail occupiers.”

The FORTEK project by Pelligra includes the refurbishment of approximately 150,000sqm of industrial and trade supply, set on a 365,000sqm landholding, with tenancies ranging from 2,250sqm to 28,000sqm.

The precinct is designed to accommodate both local and global businesses, with a focus on innovation, manufacturing and logistics.

Cubepilot Global, a leader in hardware and embedded software for civilian unmanned systems, continues to grow its international presence.

Its expansion at FORTEK reflects both operational needs and strategic positioning.

Philip Rowse, Cubepilot Global chief executive, said the organisation is committed to continuing the innovation that the Norlane facility is famous for.

“This facility has been home to amazing feats of Australian engineering and creativity.

“This space has the infrastructure to allow us to bring manufacturing from Asia to Australia, jobs to Geelong, and sovereignty to the critical drone industry.”
