With a specific focus on community and environment, Arches Port Campbell made the first 38 of 54 blocks available to locals at a fixed price via a Corangamite Shire community release

Arches Port Campbell, the newest coastal community along the Great Ocean Road, has now reached a major milestone with titles now issued to purchasers.

With a specific focus on the environment, the vision for Arches Port Campbell was underpinned by three key objectives: sustainability, built form, and sympathetic landscaping.

In a locals-first initiative, 38 of 54 blocks were sold at a fixed price via a Corangamite Shire community release, ensuring the existing community was not left out.

Arches Port Campbell developer Ample is pleased local families had been able to secure their piece of the next phase of Port Campbell.

“It is our belief that town character is more than built form and includes the families and individuals who make up a township,” an Ample spokesperson said.

“It was Ample’s intention to create a community of coastal character and sustainable thinking, this is underpinned by the project vision that was developed with the assistance of dedicated local stakeholders, and we look forward to seeing this vision delivered across the site.”

In addition to the community release, Arches Port Campbell was able to gift more than $600,000 in cash and works to the neighbouring campground and completed additional works in the adjacent Recreational Reserve, along with committing to further investment in neighbouring environmental causes and local Port Campbell initiatives such as the SLSC.

Also, as a community inclusion initiative, Ample worked with the local primary school to name the streets.

The Ample spokesperson said Arches represented an example of the good outcomes that could be achieved by a positive and collaborative approach between developer, community, and relevant authorities.

“A sincere thanks is due from us to the Port Campbell community for their cooperative and good natured engagement over the past few years.

“We’d also like to thank Duggan Civil and Eco Beach Landscapes for their hard work in delivering a beautiful site.”
