Melbourne buyers secure home overlooking Spring Creek Reserve
With a crowd of more than 70 people looking on, McCartney Real Estate put 33 Aurora Crescent in Torquay up for auction on Saturday with an opening bid of $1,300,000 getting the ball rolling.
With five active bidders in play, the reserve of $1,350,000 was quickly surpassed and after 26 bids a buyer from Beaumaris secured the four-bedroom home for $1,522,000.
McCartney Real Estate director Tim Carson said enquiry was strong with a diverse range of interest coming from a mix of locals, Melbourne, Geelong, and Ballarat-based buyers.
“The market is still quite buoyant as we have seen with five bidders in this auction,” Mr Carson said.
“We have also sold properties prior to auction as buyers try to secure properties with some great pre-auction offers.
“The competition from Melbourne is not slowing down, and now is the time to talk to us if you are considering selling.”
