Let your imagination fly off with the fairies
For a magical adventure these summer school holidays, Kryal Castle in Ballarat will be transformed into a fantastical kingdom of fairies and goblins.
From December 21 to January 29, explorers will be immersed in a wand-erful range of performances and activities each day.
For a spellbinding adventure, explore the castle grounds and meet some mythical characters along the way, including real-life fairies and goblins!
Then, witness the royal families challenge each other in a Mounted Skill at Arms.
For more daring battles, the cheeky goblins will show off their sword-clashing skills in the Ground Combat Display and charge each other on their loyal steeds in the Joust of Fae.
Visit the Wizard Tower and help the mysterious Wizard cast a spell or create a potion; visitors can discover which wizarding guild they belong to during their stay.
Dress up and participate in the magical costume parade, but the enchanting fun doesn’t end there! Visitors who charm the mushroom fairies may be taught their magical dance at the Mushroom May Pole, before exploring the Fairy Garden to find out what is inside each of the fairies’ miniature homes.
For the fairies and goblins at home, make a masterpiece on a stone at the Rock Painting to hide in the garden for them to enjoy. Gifts like these are an excellent way to gain favour with these little sprites!
To treasure these memories long after leaving the mystical kingdom, stop by one of the Fairy and Goblin photo opportunities to capture a magical moment!
Be immersed in the world of pixie dust and magical creatures at Kryal Castle during these summer school holidays!
Kryal Castle is at 121 Forbes Road, Leigh Creek.
Opening hours are 10am-4pm.
