SURFING Victoria has announced three locations for its Woolworths Victorian Junior Surfing Titles series in 2023.

The three-part event crowns Victorian Junior Champions in Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 divisions.

The junior titles kick off at Phillip Island in early February, then head to Bells Beach on February 18-19 before finishing on the Mornington Peninsula in late March.

“We are stoked to be bringing back the Woolworths Junior Surfing Titles,” Surfing Victoria chief executive officer Adam Robertson said.

“The series has produced some of our best surfers from Nikki van Dijk through to current World Champ Willis Droomer.

“Giving our up-and-coming surfers the chance to surf in the best waves across the state is a key part of their development and I am looking forward to seeing the next crop of surfers take their surfing to the next level.”

The Victorian Junior Surfing Titles series acts as the first step towards the Australian Junior Surfing Titles and ultimately the ISA World Junior Surfing Championships.

The series has hosted the likes of Nikki van Dijk, Sage Goldsbury and Xavier Huxtable, as well as incumbent Under 16 ISA World Junior Champion Willis Droomer.
