WERRIBEE Centrals has ended Bannockburn’s season with a convincing 41-28 win at St Albans Reserve yesterday over Bannockburn.

The Tigers remained within arm’s reach of the Centrals, but that’s as close as they would get with Ellie Tubbs remaining efficient for Werribee.

Centrals managed to win all four quarters on the day gradually increasing its margin at each break.

An 8-5 final term solidified Werribee’s triumph with Ellie Vincent, Amanda O’Malley and Tubbs earning best-on-court nominations.

On the other side of the court, Grace Bath, Kaylah Nicol and Alana Nicol received mentions for the Tigers.

Tubbs gathered 28 of her side’s 41 goals but received crucial assistance from teammates Ellie Vincent (nine goals) and Jacinta Savory (four goals).

Bannockburn’s scoring comprised Georgia Connors’ 15 goals, Ruby Shannahan’s 11 and Nicole Osborne’s two.

Werribee is now slated to take part in the GDNL Semi Final this Saturday, August 27 against Thomson, who are looking for a bounceback effort after its double-overtime loss to Winchelsea in the first elimination final.
