FOUR Geelong Falcons will push their draft hopes after being listed in the AFL National and State Combines, which will take place later this year.

Geelong Falcons Josh Lindsay (Newtown & Chilwell), Jesse Mellor (Geelong West) and Hugo Mikunda (Bell Park) will feature at the National Combine in Melbourne, which runs from October 3 to October 5.

Ben Rongdit (Colac) will attend the State Combine in Melbourne on October 5.

The Combine involves players from across Australia engaging in physical testing and interviews with AFL clubs, ahead of the National Draft in November.

Lindsay, Mellor and Mikunda all represented Victoria Country in the recent under‑18 Boys Championship. Rongdit was named in the squad, however did not feature in the tournament due to injury.

Lindsay has been in top ten discussions for the coming draft, and is known for his elite kicking skills and composure. He was named in the All‑Australian team for the under‑18 tournament, and finished equal‑fifth in the Larke Medal.

Mellor was also named in the All‑Australian side and kicked eight goals across Victoria Country’s four matches, with two three‑goal hauls.

Mikunda also featured in all four matches at the under‑18 competition, which included a strong performance against state rivals Victoria Metro where he kicked two goals to go with 22 disposals.

Rongdit is a high‑flying medium defender and has impressed in his matches for the Geelong Falcons in the Coates Talent League and Geelong Grammar in the APS.
