Geelong grabs Rotunno for 2025 season
United has signed former WNBL development player and now defunct Melbourne Boomer Lilly Rotunno.
Rotunno last suited up for Keilor in 2024 and averaged 6.92 points, 3.04 assists and 1.52 steals per game.
The point guard comes highly recommended by United’s Women’s National Basketball League head coach Chris Lucas.
“Lilly’s a terrific young talent, but even better person,” Lucas said.
“She fits our Geelong culture – An extremely hard working developing point guard who wants to get better and will put in the work to prove her game.”
Rotunno said she looked forward to joining a team stacked with WNBL talent.
“I’m super excited to join Geelong for the upcoming NBL1 season,” she said.
“We have an extremely talented roster, along with great coaching staff who I’m keen to work with.
“With this group I believe we can be a championship winning team.”
Geelong start their NBL1 South season against Mount Gambier Pioneers at The Geelong Arena on March 29.
