GEELONG Amateur and Ocean Grove will play off for a fourth year in a row in the BNL A Grade Grand Final tomorrow (Saturday, September 13) afternoon.

The Grubbers can secure a threepeat with a win over their rivals at Newcomb’s Grinter Reserve, while the Ammos are gunning for their first flag in three years.

Remarkably, the match will also be Geelong Amateur’s ninth straight A Grade Grand Final.

The Ammos will enter the match having had a bye last weekend, while the Grubbers overcame a three-point deficit at the final break to avoid an upset against Torquay.

When the two sides last faced off a fortnight ago, it was the Ammos who prevailed by seven points to book their spot in this weekend’s finale. They also won by just two points when they played in Round 17.

Ocean Grove skipper and 2024 GF best on court Emily Moroney will be a key player through the front two thirds, while star shooter Zanna Woods will also be one to watch.

For the Ammos, star playing coach Kaitlyn Sheringham will be important in their hunt for premiership glory, as well as shooter Kim Hammond, who proved the difference in their last matchup with the Grubbers.
