JAN Juc surfer Xavier Huxtable has achieved one of biggest competitive feats to date, securing a Semi Final finish at the Lexus Pipe Challenger event in Hawaii.

The 23-year-old produced some champagne surfing at Banzai Pipeline, taking off deep in the barrel and looking right at home in the 10- to-15-foot wave faces.

Xavier Huxtable achieved one of his top competitive results to date in the international event.

Huxtable scored the top combined heat total of the whole event in his Quarter Final, posting a massive 17.57 (out of a possible 20 points).

This included a truly remarkable 9.57 for making it through a deep barrel that rolled off the reef with ease.

Unfortunate conditions turned Huxtable’s Semi Final into a wave-starved heat, with the Jan Juc youngster unable to drop a score to make it through.

With this strong result, Huxtable now moves to up to 17th place on the Men’s Challenger Series rankings ahead of Newcastle SURFEST in March.
