Kids to take over GMHBA for United’s clash against Roar
WESTERN United is preparing for a ‘kids takeover’ in Geelong this weekend, when the Green and Black take on Brisbane Roar this Saturday.
The club has seen great success from the Kids Go Free initiative in the early part of this season and will continue to encourage a family-friendly atmosphere at all matches.
The youngest United supporters will be treated to a great spectacle at GHMBA Stadium, with John Aloisi coaching against the Roar for the first time since departing as Brisbane’s head coach.
The match will also see Jamie Young and Dylan Wenzel-Halls face the Roar following their switch from orange to Green and Black after the 2020/21 campaign.
United is on a roll coming off two wins on the trot and sitting pretty in third position on the A-League ladder, while Brisbane has been gallant in two defeats and a draw so far this season, meaning they will be eager for a result on United territory.
The twilight kick-off set for 5.05pm will provide the perfect occasion for all families to come along to the match and celebrate a fantastic night out at the football with a host of other fun things to do.
Kids can play the part and show their Western colours with pre-game face painting and inflatable football fun outside the stadium for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
There will also be an array of performers and entertainers both outside and on the concourse, which will precede a spectacular fireworks show ahead of the match.
Tickets are available via Ticketek and all kids under 12 can watch the match free of charge.
