GEELONG United has signed championship winning coach Megan Moody as its NBL1 South women’s leader for 2025.

Moody previously coached the Bendigo Braves for two seasons, winning a championship in 2018.

She is currently serving as United’s general manager of pathways.

Moody said she looks forward to being even more hands on with the growth of United’s players.

“I think it’s fantastic to have a pathway here now that young female athletes can aspire to be what they see.

“The program will run as a whole, so we’ll have WNBL head coach Chris Lucas overseeing the NBL1 program.

“I’m the lucky one that gets to sit in the head coach seat, and I hope the players continue enjoying their basketball while I’m the coach of the team.”
