THE BPCA1 ladder has seen one last shake-up after Round 14’s finish at the weekend, setting up two exciting semi-final clashes.

Barwon Heads shook off a slow first innings against Inverleigh to skittle them for just 142 and complete a clean sweep of the home and away season.

The 12-0 Seagulls finished five games clear atop the ladder in an unbelievable campaign, which is even more impressive given their Seconds also finished undefeated and their Thirds dropped just one game.

On the other hand, the loss saw the Kookaburras finish last with a 3-9 record.

A strong first innings with the bat by Queenscliff proved too much for Drysdale to recover from, with the Coutas winning by 92 runs and jumping into second spot to finish the season.

The Hawks’ loss put them in sixth spot thanks to a streaky campaign.

Barrabool knocked off Jan Juc thanks to a well-spread performance in both innings and have finished in third spot despite spending most of the season outside of the top four.

Conversely, the Sharks were within finals contention for the season’s majority but finished seventh thanks to the loss.

Rounding out the top four is Anglesea, who snuck into the finals despite going down to Armstrong Creek by 11 runs.

With the two sides tied on ladder points following the result, the Roos took fourth spot by 0.082 quotient points and caused the Titans to fall agonisingly short of a shot at going back-to-back.

This weekend, Barwon Heads will host Anglesea and Queenscliff will host Barrabool in semi-finals split across Saturday and Sunday, with the winners to head straight to the grand final.

The Seagulls got the better of the Roos on both occasions when they faced off this season, while the Coutas overcame the Bulls when they played back in Round 4.
