THE Surf Coast Suns have unveiled a bold new jumper design ahead of their entry into the Bellarine Football Netball League in 2026.

This week, the Suns showed off their bright new playing colours, which players will run out in during competition next year.

The home guernsey features a traditional yellow V, bright red filling, blue trimming and the traditional Indigenous sun on the back.

The club’s clash strip is a reversed version with the yellow V taking centre stage across a popping blue colour and red trimming.

Surf Coast Suns president Jay Williams said the new jumpers marked an exciting chapter for the club.

“I wanted a traditional design to give us some strength and image to come in with a bit of respect. Having a more mature design will go a long way to getting more players to jump on board.

“It gives the juniors who are playing in our other jumper something to strive for, and there’s a bit of a goal there for them to aspire too.

“It also gives us our own identity and breaks away from the Gold Coast Suns image which was associated with a bit of mediocrity when they started out.

“We’ve signed nearly half the field, and with a few big weeks ahead, we should have everything in shape before pre-season.”

The Suns will wear red and yellow during home games, and blue and yellow for clash matches.

Star recruit Dylan Flanigan said he looked forward to the unique opportunity of being part of the inaugural Suns team.

“My brother and I are both coming over from Irrewarra-Beaac and we both can’t wait to get started.”

Under-18s captain and former Surf Coast Suns junior Riley Cotter is also a fan of the jumpers.

“I started here in Under 11’s, and to be part of the first juniors to come up to the senior program is pretty exciting,” he said.

“I love the new jumper design, personally. It’s great to have something new to look forward to as we move through and progress through the different chapters of the club.”
