SURF Coast Football Club has capped off a remarkable 2025 season, with nine teams reaching a Grand Final and four of those bringing home the silverware.

The season’s standout performance came from the senior women’s Geelong Division 1 side, with the team finishing on top of the table and winning its respective Grand Final over Barwon Soccer Club.

Women’s coach and vice president Steve Christou said it was a fantastic achievement for the club.

“It was great reward for the players, coaches and parents for all their efforts throughout the season.

“It’s huge to get nine teams into Grand Finals. It’s the most we’ve had in the last week of the season.

“There’s a lot of work which goes in behind the scenes that have contributed to this great outcome.

“It’s a real win for the community.”

Adding to the celebrations, the Under-17 Boys team completed an exceptional undefeated season and claimed the premiership title, while the Under-15B Boys and U13A Boys also triumphed.

Five other teams proudly finished as runners-up: the U13B Girls, U13C Girls, U15A Boys, U13B Boys and U13C Boys.

Club president Brett King praised the efforts of all involved.

“A huge congratulations and well done to all of our teams that played in grand finals over the weekend.

“It was a weekend of celebration and pride for Surf Coast FC, highlighting the depth of talent and passion across the club and its commitment to community pathway growth on the Surf Coast.”
