A DOMINANT display by Geelong Amateur against St Mary’s has solidified them as one of three senior women’s teams to earn grand final spots.

The “Wammos” blitzed the Saints in the first quarter of their Division 1 encounter, keeping their opponents scoreless in the opening frame and kicking four goals.

Consistent backline pressure coupled with Analea McKee’s four goals allowed Ammos to ride a wave of momentum, winning the contest 7.8.50 to 1.1.7.

In the Division 1 elimination final, Grovedale kicked the only goal of the final quarter, emerging as three-point winners and ending Newtown & Chilwell’s season (24-27).

St Mary’s and Grovedale will meet in this week’s preliminary final.

St Joseph’s will contest the Division 2 grand final on its home ground after defeating Drysdale 71-10.

St Joseph’s kicked 10 goals to knock over Drysdale in Sunday’s Division 2 Qualifying Final.

Eight Joeys kicked majors on their way to overcoming the Hawks, who will need to defeat Torquay this Sunday, August 7 to earn a rematch at Herne Hill Reserve.

Anglesea held home field advantage in the Division 3 qualifying final booking its spot to the big dance.

The Roos struggled to take its chances in front of goal but snuck away with a 25-21 win over South Barwon.

The Swans will face off with North Geelong this Sunday to determine the second participant in their decider.

All senior women’s preliminary finals will be held at McDonald Reserve.
