Surfcoast Women’s Health Group has started a Women Out Loud event space where its team fosters open discussions on various aspects of women’s health.

These events aim to create a safe and supportive environment where women can share experiences, learn from each other, and address topics that are often underrepresented.

The first Women Out Loud event featured a multigenerational panel of six women, ranging in age from their 20s to their 80s, discussing the ‘Three M’s: Menstruation, motherhood, and menopause’. The event raised over $800 for the Sexual Assault and Family Violence Centre.

Building on this success, the next event involved a screening of the internationally acclaimed film The M Factor, which addresses menopause by challenging societal and medical shortcomings and advocating for a revolutionary approach to women’s health.

A candid discussion was held after the film, featuring a panel of health professionals who shared insights, tips and education to empower attendees navigating menopause.

These events aim to break taboos, encourage open conversations and build a supportive community for women on the Surf Coast, reflecting the group’s commitment to empowering women through education, open dialogue and community support.

Surfcoast Women’s Health Group’s team are not just healthcare providers, they are partners in every woman’s health journey.

By prioritising health and happiness, Surfcoast Women’s Health Group is committed to uplifting and empowering women in our community.
