{"id":100232,"date":"2024-07-11T09:16:54","date_gmt":"2024-07-10T23:16:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/rum-jungle-hit-the-road-again\/"},"modified":"2024-07-11T09:25:41","modified_gmt":"2024-07-10T23:25:41","slug":"rum-jungle-hit-the-road-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/living\/rum-jungle-hit-the-road-again\/","title":{"rendered":"Rum Jungle hit the road again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Australian band Rum Jungle are headed back to Australia and hitting the road again for their Chauffeur Australian Tour.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Newcastle band will play 22 shows around the country including at Torquay Hotel on August 9.<\/p>\n<p>Having sold out shows across the UK and Europe, the band are familiar with big crowds.<\/p>\n<p>Their most recent single &#8220;Did the Morning Let you Down&#8221; was released this year and showcases the bands cohesion.<\/p>\n<p>Rum Jungle vocalist and guitarist Benny McInyre said fans could expect a\u201d mad night\u201d with \u201clegends\u201d always turning out to see them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think us four lads finally know how to play our instruments a little bit, never know on the night though.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The band have found success in the charts with their most recent EP <em>Hold me in the Water<\/em> debuting at number three on the ARIA Vinyl Album Charts and number 12 on the ARIA Australian Charts.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to performing in Torquay, McInyre is \u201cmad keen\u201d to go back to local restaurant Pholklore.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKeen to have a loose night in Torquay, so many mad people to meet.
