Photo: ABBY PARDEW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Vernacular Property has taken on the more-than $20 million build and expects the remaining businesses to be operating next year.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The tenants at the rear include a new two-level Club Lime gym and a 120-place childcare centre. They are likely to open in early 2025,&#8221; Vernacular Property director Jaryd Misios said.<\/p>\n<p>The City of Greater Geelong advertised the planning permit in December 2022, and it was open for public comment until January 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Misios said the addition of the Grovedale Village would provide a boost to the local community and economy, offering national brands with local operators.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2024\/07\/IMG_3042_06760.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The aim is to have the first of the businesses open by Christmas this year with the remainder following in 2025.
