THE City of Greater Geelong is seeking to understand how it is perceived by the local community, with everyone who lives, works or visits the region invited to provide feedback.<\/p>\n

A short “Your Perceptions” survey has been launched to gather the community’s insights, centred around understanding how residents and visitors view the city’s customer experience and what they would like to see in the future.<\/p>\n

“With a relatively new CEO and executive leadership team, we have developed a new organisation strategy that aims to see us become the highest performing and best local government to work for,” Troy Edwards, the city’s executive director of corporate services, said.<\/p>\n

“To build towards that aim, we are keen to get a current picture of how we are tracking with the community.<\/p>\n

“We want to know how people feel about interacting with us now, and what they need and expect from us in the future.”<\/p>\n

The survey asks respondents to share how they would like future interactions with the city to be and what approach staff should have to those interactions.<\/p>\n

Respondents are also invited to share their views on the Geelong council, what they believe the council should stand for, and what they feel makes the region unique.<\/p>\n

The responses received will be used to help the city develop strategies to improve its customer experience and help guide the city’s communication about its services and major projects to build trust in the community, Mr Edwards said.<\/p>\n

He encouraged everyone to take a few minutes to participate in the survey and share their present perceptions of the City of Greater Geelong.<\/p>\n

“Please share what you think of us \u2013 good and bad. We’d really appreciate your feedback.”<\/p>\n
