THE GEELONG community are being invited to showcase their design projects, compelling stories and unique talents during Geelong Design Week.<\/p>\n

The 2024 Geelong Design Week will run from November 21 to November 30 and transform Geelong into a hub of creativity and innovation.<\/p>\n

The festival will feature an array of both online and in-person workshops, events, projections, pop-up spaces and forums.<\/p>\n

Events this year will focus on the key four themes of “Built and Natural Environment”, “Arts, Design and Creativity”, “Education, Research and Knowledge” and “Sustainability and Circularity”.<\/p>\n

Geelong mayor Trent Sullivan said Geelong Design Week was a unique opportunity to showcase local talent.<\/p>\n

“By uniting designers, industry leaders, and design enthusiasts from Geelong, Victoria, and beyond, we are strengthening Geelong’s reputation as a global leader in creativity and design excellence.<\/p>\n

“We encourage designers, businesses, creatives, students, organisations, and collectives to join us in crafting an exciting and insightful program.”<\/p>\n

Deputy mayor Anthony Aitken said the festival was sure to draw huge crowds.<\/p>\n

“Geelong Design Week 2023 saw a record-breaking 17,288 attendees across 52 events, with participants from Geelong, regional Victoria, Melbourne, and interstate.<\/p>\n

“Event hosts will benefit from exposure to a vast audience and the opportunity to network and collaborate with local, national, and international design enthusiasts.”<\/p>\n

Expressions of interest for creatives are open until Sunday, August 11.<\/p>\n
