VICTORIA Police arrested a man today (Thursday, August 1) as part of an investigation into allegations of suspected fraud targeting genU.<\/p>\n
According to a statement released by genU earlier today, genU ran its own internal investigation triggered by suspicious activity relating to accounts being wrongfully charged to the not-for-profit organisation, and notified police in February 2023.<\/p>\n
The period of suspected fraudulent activity is believed to have occurred over five years.<\/p>\n
