{"id":103590,"date":"2024-09-08T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-07T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=103590"},"modified":"2024-09-05T16:29:16","modified_gmt":"2024-09-05T06:29:16","slug":"geelong-bartenders-listed-among-nations-most-influential","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/geelong-bartenders-listed-among-nations-most-influential\/","title":{"rendered":"Geelong bartenders listed among nation&#8217;s most influential"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TWO of Geelong&#8217;s favourite mixologists have been named among the country&#8217;s 100 most influential bartenders, venue operators and party-starters by Australian Bartender Magazine.<\/p>\n<p>Hospitality veteran Gorge Camorra and award-winning 18th Amendment Bar bartender Ana Mitchell have taken their place on the list alongside some of the industry&#8217;s biggest names, including bar manager and YouTube channel host Cara Devine and Rude Boy owner Khayla Massie.<\/p>\n<p>The list, first launched in 2009 and released every two years, celebrates the impact of the industry&#8217;s movers, shakers and innovators, and highlights the individuals who are influencing the direction of the industry.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Camorra, who owns the Camorra Bar Group \u2013 comprising 18th Amendment Bar, Manhattan Bar and Non Disclosure Bar \u2013 is no stranger to Australian Bartenders Magazine&#8217;s 100 most influential list, having been named among the industry&#8217;s elite since at least 2019.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_103709\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-103709\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-103709\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2024\/09\/Ana-Mitchell-1-copy-893x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"688\" srcset=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2024\/09\/Ana-Mitchell-1-copy-893x1024.jpg 893w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2024\/09\/Ana-Mitchell-1-copy-262x300.jpg 262w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2024\/09\/Ana-Mitchell-1-copy-768x881.jpg 768w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2024\/09\/Ana-Mitchell-1-copy.jpg 986w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-103709\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ana Mitchell has been named a Bartender of the Year finalist in the coming Australian Liquor Industry Awards.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He said it was an honour to be included in the 2024 list and celebrated the magazine&#8217;s acknowledgement of Ms Mitchell.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think it&#8217;s a great recognition for the 18th Amendment Bar and the Camorra Bar Group, especially considering that two of us, from a regional city like Geelong, are in the top 100 among the other amazing hospitality influencers in Australia.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>For rapid up-and-comer Mitchell, the listing is her first inclusion.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I feel really grateful to be on a list with such massive names in the industry, especially next to Gorge,&#8221;
