{"id":104304,"date":"2024-09-19T04:00:10","date_gmt":"2024-09-18T18:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=104304"},"modified":"2024-09-18T14:09:39","modified_gmt":"2024-09-18T04:09:39","slug":"acenergy-to-host-information-sessions-for-bess-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/acenergy-to-host-information-sessions-for-bess-project\/","title":{"rendered":"ACEnergy to host information sessions for BESS project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RESIDENTS of Little River, Lara and its surrounds are invited to learn more about the proposed Little River Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at two information sessions.<\/p>\n<p>ACEnergy is proposing to build a 350MW BESS on an 18-hectare site in Little River.<\/p>\n<p>The project will aim to help make electricity supply more reliable, and subsequently create more jobs for local tradespeople.<\/p>\n<p>The sessions will be held at the Lara Golf Club tomorrow (Friday, September 20) and Saturday (September 21).<\/p>\n<p>ACEnergy development manager Danny Wilkinson invited community members to have their say.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are looking forward to meeting members of the local community and discussing our proposed project, as well as the potential for community benefit initiatives,&#8221; he said<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are committed to the local area and bringing this project to life to strengthen the local and regional electricity network.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If people can\u2019t make it on the two days, we encourage them to get in touch and we can organise one-on-one briefings.
