COMMUNITY members who supported the inaugural funding of the Rippleside playground can register to claim their piece of playground history.<\/p>\n

The City of Greater Geelong is encouraging locals who helped fund the playground back in 2001 to secure the wooden pickets on the boundary fence that carried their names.<\/p>\n

The Rippleside playground has now reached the end of its life and will be replaced by a new inclusive playspace \u2013 set to be Geelong’s first Livvi’s Place.<\/p>\n

Rippleside will become the ninth Livvi’s Place facility in Victoria.<\/p>\n

The existing playground and public toilet are now closed to the public in preparation for being dismantled to make way for the new facility.<\/p>\n

A new Changing Places toilet facility is expected to open to the public in early 2025, with the new playground to follow around mid-year.<\/p>\n

Those wishing to secure their pickets can do so by registering by October 17.<\/p>\n
