{"id":104659,"date":"2024-10-02T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-10-01T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=104659"},"modified":"2024-10-02T09:19:22","modified_gmt":"2024-10-01T23:19:22","slug":"applications-open-for-geelong-and-bellarine-events-funding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/applications-open-for-geelong-and-bellarine-events-funding\/","title":{"rendered":"Applications open for Geelong and Bellarine events funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GEELONG and Bellarine businesses are being encouraged to apply for funding through the Regional Business Events Program.<\/p>\n<p>Funding is available for eligible event organisers hosting new and international and business events in Geelong and on the Bellarine.<\/p>\n<p>Events include conferences, trade exhibitions, corporate meetings and incentive programs occurring throughout 2025 and before March 31, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Funding can be used for accommodation, venue hire, food and beverage, transport or other event costs.<\/p>\n<p>Business Events Geelong convention bureau manager Tamie Ryan encouraged event organisers to consider the region as a location for their next business event.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re thrilled about the announcement of the Regional Business Events Program and the opportunities it opens for event organisers to bring their events to Geelong and The Bellarine.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This program helps attract new business and plays a key role in boosting our local economy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Event organisers can access up to $80 per delegate (up to $40,000) for new national business events, and up to $150 per delegate (up to $22,350) for new international incentive events.<\/p>\n<p>National Business Events Fund applications will close on October 21, while the International Incentive Events Fund will close on June 30, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>To register, head to <a href=\"http:\/\/form.jotform.com\/BEGeelong\/request-for-proposal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">form.jotform.com\/BEGeelong\/request-for-proposal<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GEELONG and Bellarine businesses are being encouraged to apply for funding through the Regional Business Events Program.
