THE boards of two local community organisations have started a project to explore a potential merger.<\/p>\n
MEGT Australia and gforce employment + recruitment believe a merger would better support the needs of local people, employers, communities, and their staff.<\/p>\n
The boards believe the partnership could also provide strategic benefits for both organisations and provide greater scale, opportunity and ability to invest.<\/p>\n
MEGT chair Peter Moore highlighted the benefits of the merger.<\/p>\n
“MEGT and gforce are successful organisations that are respected in their communities,” he said.<\/p>\n
“Our partnership combines the skills of our great teams who share the passion for helping people, and greater resources to support our innovation and growth.<\/p>\n
“Together we will help even more people and more communities.”<\/p>\n
MEGT and gforce plan to maintain local service delivery teams and serve clients under both identities in metropolitan, rural and regional areas.<\/p>\n
gforce chair Bill Mithen emphasised the complementary nature of the two organisations.<\/p>\n
“MEGT and gforce share a common heritage and commitment to helping people,” Mr Mithen said.<\/p>\n
“Through our merger we will better serve our existing communities and are excited to build new<\/p>\n
relationships.<\/p>\n
“We look forward to bringing our strong community connections and benefiting from MEGT’s expertise and scale.”<\/p>\n
