{"id":106986,"date":"2024-11-15T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-11-14T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=106986"},"modified":"2025-11-05T23:44:33","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T12:44:33","slug":"geelong-cricketers-to-represent-victoria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/sport\/geelong-cricketers-to-represent-victoria\/","title":{"rendered":"Geelong cricketers to represent Victoria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FIVE Geelong Cricket Club players have been selected to represent the state at the U\/17 Male National Cricket Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Josh Slater, Lachlan Russell, Liam Biddiscombe and Xavier Grant will line up for Victoria Country, while Santosh Ramireddy has been named in the Victoria Metro team.<\/p>\n<p>Geelong Cricket Club president Jennie Deckker said the exciting announcement follows seven of Geelong&#8217;s female players being selected in the Victorian U\/16 National Championship squad.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This announcement reiterates the benefits that we are seeing as a result of the clubs&#8217; investment into academy and junior development programs over recent years.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To have such strong representation in Cricket Victoria development squads&#8217; points to the future success of the club in years to come.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Lincoln Koliba, Ollie Peake and Zane Attard have been selected in the Vic Country team for the U\/19 men&#8217;s squad.<\/p>\n<p>The National Cricket Championships will be held in Ballarat next year from January 6 to January 13.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FIVE Geelong Cricket Club players have been selected to represent the state at the U\/17 Male National Cricket Championships.
