Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The structure is steel fabricated, finished with an industrial paint system and uses large geometric plates to both contrast and reflect the natural landscape.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The sculpture, rising organically from the ground at Rippleside, captures the dynamic energy of our coastal landscape,&#8221; Trensky said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Its geometric plates create a mesmerising play of light and shadow, symbolising the eternal dance between tide and time.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What makes this piece truly special is its thoughtful placement where creeks meet the sea, near vital fish breeding grounds \u2013 a nod to the area&#8217;s rich ecological and cultural significance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Trensky, and his work through Melbourne-based design firm Perimeter Design, will be familiar to those who frequent the shared user path between the Surf Coast Highway and Reserve Road in Grovedale.<\/p>\n<p>A series of four magpie sculptures, titled &#8216;Echoes of Magpie&#8217;, were installed along the path last year as part of the South Geelong to Waurn Ponds rail duplication project.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2025\/01\/1733881203504_51537.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"762\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Trensky&#8217;s &#8216;Echoes of Magpie&#8217;, a series of four magpie sculptures, was also installed last year along the shared user path between the Surf Coast Highway and Reserve Road in Grovedale.
