TWO action-packed nights will be on display at the Geelong Show Grounds next weekend as the Geelong Pro Rodeo takes centre stage.<\/p>\n

Hosted by M5Rodeo Promotions on February 7 and 8, the event features bucking bulls and horses, roping events, barrel racing and more.<\/p>\n

M5Rodeo Promotions co-owner Nicole McDonald said patrons are guaranteed to be wowed from the opening of the first shoot to the closing of the last.<\/p>\n

“You never can expect to know what you’re going to see when you come to a rodeo,” she said.<\/p>\n

“There’s thrills and spills at every direction, it’s just going to be a really fun, safe and action-packed night.”<\/p>\n

This year will mark the fifth consecutive year the rodeo has visited Geelong, with past years being hugely popular among visitors, producing a sell-out event.<\/p>\n

The rodeo is a huge supporter of junior development and will feature a full junior rodeo from 3.30pm until 5.30pm each day.<\/p>\n

A cow kids hour will start after the junior rodeo. It is a free hour for kids to join in the activities where they will be able to have a swing of the rope and experience the bucking dummies and cowboy fun.<\/p>\n

Ms McDonald said the rodeo is an opportunity for families to see some real rodeo action.<\/p>\n

“We want to educate people on our way of life and get them to experience something that they may never have seen before,” she said.<\/p>\n

“At an M5 event you’re coming to see all the affiliated events that run with an actual rodeo and all the junior events, you get to come and see all the kids participate in their chosen fields.”<\/p>\n

The program will be the same over two nights, with limited seating ensuring patrons get the best experience regardless of which night they attend.<\/p>\n
