{"id":110059,"date":"2025-02-06T04:00:31","date_gmt":"2025-02-05T17:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=110059"},"modified":"2025-02-05T15:33:01","modified_gmt":"2025-02-05T04:33:01","slug":"wine-to-shine-in-geelong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/wine-to-shine-in-geelong\/","title":{"rendered":"Wine to shine in Geelong"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GLASSES of wine will flow on Saturday (February 8) across Greater Geelong as the APCO Foundation Geelong Wine Walk returns for another year.<\/p>\n<p>The popular community fundraiser will see participants enjoy tastings from more than 20 renowned producers at seven popular Geelong venues.<\/p>\n<p>All funds from the day will go towards providing immediate support to local families facing challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Scotchmans Hill, Provenance Wines, Leura Park Estate and Pizzini Wines are among those being showcased on the day.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 601px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2025\/02\/475096212_5937573532_07400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"601\" height=\"401\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">More than 20 producers will be exhibited on the day.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Delicious canapes and live entertainment will be on offer at all partnered venues &#8211; The Wharf Shed, Geelong Arts Centre, Geelong Boat House, Frankie, The Davidson Restaurant, The Eureka and Sailors Rest.<\/p>\n<p>APCO Foundation chairperson Sharon Gleeson said the community&#8217;s generosity is certain to shine on the day.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Every dollar raised makes a real difference to people doing it tough in our local communities.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Every ticket purchased, every glass raised, contributes to creating positive change in our community.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Organisers are hopeful they can go close to the $100,000 raised at last year&#8217;s event.<\/p>\n<p>APCO service stations director Robert Anderson said he was proud of what the APCO Foundation continued to achieve.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;From helping families and individuals to supporting local not-for-profit groups, we&#8217;re making a difference where it matters most.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Geelong Wine Walk is a perfect example of how we can bring people together, celebrate what makes our region special, and create positive impact in our local APCO communities.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Geelong Wine Walk will be held from 11am to 5pm.<\/p>\n<p>For last-minute tickets, head to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trybooking.com\/events\/landing\/1313316\">trybooking website.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GLASSES of wine will flow on Saturday (February 8) across Greater Geelong as the APCO Foundation Geelong Wine Walk returns for another year.
