One of the first was revealed in September, when AFL Barwon announced the Geelong Football League grand final best on ground medal would be renamed to the Frank Fopiani Medal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Football awards to be named:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bellarine Football Netball League Seniors Best on Ground in a Grand Final<\/li>\n<li>Geelong Football Netball League Seniors Leading Goal Kicker<\/li>\n<li>Bellarine Football Netball League Seniors Leading Goal Kicker<\/li>\n<li>U18 Male Football Div 1 Best on Ground in a Grand Final<\/li>\n<li>U18 Male Football Div 2 Best on Ground in a Grand Final.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Netball awards to be named:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Geelong Football Netball League A Grade Netball Best on Court in a Grand Final<\/li>\n<li>Bellarine Football Netball League A Grade Netball Best on Court in a Grand Final<\/li>\n<li>Geelong Football Netball League A Grade Netball Best and Fairest<\/li>\n<li>Bellarine Football Netball League A Grade Netball Best and Fairest<\/li>\n<li>Geelong Football Netball League A Grade Netball Hot Shots<\/li>\n<li>Bellarine Football Netball League A Grade Netball Hot Shots.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications about a renaming of an award should include comprehensive information about the individual in question, including specific examples and evidence of their contributions, achievements, and impact on the AFL Barwon community.<\/p>\n<p>Once submitted, the application will be reviewed by AFL Barwon&#8217;s History and Awards Sub-Committee, which is chaired by Nicola Wojcik from the AFL Barwon Commission.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, head to <a href=\"http:\/\/aflbarwon.com.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">aflbarwon.com.au<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AFL Barwon is still seeking nominations for names for some of the awards it hands out during the football and netball season each year.
