ANAM Cara House Geelong has begun a series of free information sessions open to the community.<\/p>\n

Held in the library of the hospital’s facility in Highton, the sessions are being led by experts in palliative care and aim, according to Anam Cara, to “enhance quality of life, promote wellbeing, and support individuals and families navigating life-limiting illnesses”.<\/p>\n

Anam Cara provides specialised clinical care and compassionate<\/p>\n

support for its patients and their families, from life-limiting diagnosis to end-of-life.<\/p>\n

The series began on Wednesday last week with An Intro to Palliative Care, It’s Not All About Death.<\/p>\n

Coming sessions include:<\/p>\n

March 18, 10.30am\u201311.30am – The Importance of Advance Care Planning<\/p>\n

April 3, 10.30am\u201311.30am – Medication Management, A Pharmacist’s Role<\/p>\n

June 12, 10.30am\u201311.30am – Diet and Wellness<\/p>\n

July 18, 10.30am\u201311.30am – Understanding Grief and Bereavement, and<\/p>\n

November 13, 10.30am\u201311.30am – Mental Health, A Pharmacist’s Role.<\/p>\n

All sessions will be held in the library at Anam Cara House Geelong, Nicol Drive South at Deakin University’s Waurn Ponds campus.<\/p>\n
