Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Deller describes Mokes as fun and cheerful little cars that allow to you take in the open air, especially by the sea.<\/p>\n<p>He said they are a conversation-starter that help create simple meaningful connections with others.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You park down at the Highton shops and a bloke will walk up and start chatting away,&#8221; Deller said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I have had people take photos, and get in and take photos.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2025\/03\/IMG_8878_08273.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mokes by the beach. Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s just a reminder of many years ago when I believe times were a little bit easier.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The little kids just love it and part of it I assume is because of it being red like the Wiggles&#8217; Big Red Car.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Deller has a 1980 Moke that was largely restored before he bought it, and the four-seater certainly has a bit of life in it.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2025\/03\/IMG_0409_08656.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"299\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mokes on the sand. Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I like to run it at about 80kmh,&#8221; he said with a laugh.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;ll do 100km an hour but [I like] a nice cruising speed of around 80.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Deller will have a chance to showcase his car soon as Moke Owners Association of Victoria is hosting Mokin&#8217; Vic 25 from March 21 to March 23 in the Geelong\/Bellarine area.<\/p>\n<p>There will be more than 120 Mokes from all over Australia on display at a free Moke-only show and shine on Saturday, March 22, in Queenscliff&#8217;s Princess Park from 9am-1pm.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2025\/03\/IMG_6132_16477.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Highton&#8217;s Graeme Deller with his Moke.
